2010’s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is an incredible game. It’s a game that my wife and myself put several hours into and we both enjoyed it a ton. She has been with Tomb Raider since the beginning while I’m newer to the series, so it was fun to have a Tomb Raider game that was brand new so that we’d both be on the same page. The game offered a lot to do; the main missions, collecting side items, beating challenges, and more. It was fun but after we beat it I read online somewhere that they weren’t going to be making another one because of focusing on the new Tomb Raider reboot game. It bummed me out because this game was so great and I really wanted to see a sequel. So when I saw that there was finally going to be a sequel this year I was thrilled!
I wasn’t let down either. Named Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, this game is a direct sequel to Guardian of Light. It’s a very enjoyable game. The graphics (PS4 this, vs PS3 Guardian) are a huge improvement, they look great in this game. The puzzles and challenges are just as much fun to beat and get through and like the Guardian of Light this game offers other things to pursue other than the main game itself. This game is available for up to four players though I’ve not given that a shot yet. Just playing it with my wife is a ton of fun. We’ve already beaten the game but the extras still await so that’s the next goal! Have you played any of the Lara Croft games? If so what did you think?
