Final Fantasy is all over the place lately!

Final Fantasy is one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, selling over 100 million units to date. That’s a lot of Chocobos and Moogles running around. I’ve played a good bit of them myself, though there are several that I never got around to trying. One of the things I enjoy the most about the Final Fantasy series is that even with different stories with each major title the games generally still end up being great. Final FantasyFinal Fantasy XII isn’t the same at all compared to Final Fantasy XIII, yet both games are great fun. (Though some people would not agree with the XIII part). There are plenty of great Final Fantasy games out right now that are worth playing, but we have a major amount of them coming in the future too!

That’s what I mean by saying that it’s all over the place, because it feels like Square Enix is really pulling out all of the stops for the Final Fantasy brand lately. Some of the upcoming games include, but are not limited to: Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Final Fantasy VII G-Bike, Final Fantasy Record Keeper, Final Fantasy Explorers and Final Fantasy Agito. These games are for a variety of systems, from the PS4 all the way down to smartphones. And there more that are out there that I didn’t mention, like the arcade version of Dissidia. That won’t be available widely, so it’s not as big as these other games, but you get the point. Final Fantasy is all over the place right now! That’s not a bad thing to me, as long as quality isn’t bad or low. Oh, and let’s not forget that if you get an early Type-0 then you get to play Final Fantasy XV (FINALLY) through a demo. I don’t know how long that’ll be the case, so I highly suggest you pre-order the game if you want a shot to play it.

I think this is a great time to be a fan of the series, with so much action being seen lately and with all that’s coming out in the near future. Like I said, as long as the quality isn’t bad then it’s a great thing that we’re seeing all of these games come out. I don’t get the idea that any of these games haven’t been given tons of time and attention, so I don’t think there will be anything to be disappointed in when it’s all said and done. The Type-0 HD/XV demo combo are the best thing to be excited about in my opinion. The other games look great too, but these look to take things up a notch. I can’t wait until these arrive in the mail, it’ll be great to play each and see what was originally Final Fantasy Versus XIII in action. But that’s enough of what I’m excited for with the series. Which of the upcoming Final Fantasy games has you the most excited? Any of the above? Something else entirely? Let us know in the comments!
